Feel the need for speed

• Then grab your sense of adventure and sun cream for this half-day water safari. It’s a two-hour ride on a two-seater personal speedboat or Aqua Ray jetski, with you doing the driving honours. And it all takes place around the jungly waterways and seas of Varadero’s Hicacos peninsula.
After a quick safety and how-to briefing, you’ll don a lifejacket and clamber onto your own personal craft. Then it’s just a case of releasing the throttle and going for the burn. Following your guide, you’ll zoom down calm water channels, whizzing past riverbanks draped in mangroves and jungle. Then it’s out onto the Atlantic itself, cruising its waters past Varadero’s white beaches and tiny ‘cayos’. You’ll make regular stops along the way for breaks and to take a closer look at the scenery, too. An 007-style adventure.
